Thermo Limba TGV Cladding - 94mm wide (84mm seen face)/ 18mm thick
£9.99 (inc VAT) per linear metre. Minimum order - 100 linear metres.
During the thermal modification process, Limba (also known as Fraké) Terminalia superba is heated to a high temperature in a low-oxygen environment, which causes chemical changes in the wood fibres. These changes make the cladding more stable, less prone to swelling and warping, and more resistant to decay and insect attack.
Our FSC certified, thermally modified Limba, or Thermo Limba, has a very attractive rich chocolate brown colouring with some grey / black mineral streaking. Over time, the timber will weather to a soft grey if it is not coated with a UV protector. The material presents well with limited defects: very few knots, possible resin pockets and occasional small pinholes.
Tongue and Groove (TGV) is a machined cladding profile with a smooth finish and an interlocking edge that creates a waterproof façade. This style of cladding board creates a seamless look, with a key benefit being the ability to hide the fixings through the tongue.
