An extensive range of machinery enables us to offer a wide range of timber milling, cutting and preparation services for our clients.

Our Mebor Sawmill is one of the leading pieces of technology on the market and allows us to offer advanced timber sawmilling services. It can handle logs of up to 1.9m in diameter and 8m in length. We predominantly mill hardwood logs, but are also equipped with blades for softwood cutting.

Our machinery allows us to mill whole logs milled length-ways into boards with waney (bark) or live edges; or wide, thick sectioned ‘slab wood’ with straight or waney/live edges.

Every part of the log is used. Excess slabs are run through a chipper, which are then used by the biomass industry.

Our Milling Machines

The Mebor Sawmills are renowned for their high-performance and ability to provide a complete solution for sawmilling. It can handle logs of up to 1.9m in diameter and 8m in length. We predominantly mill hardwood logs, but can also offer softwood cutting.
The FlexiRip allows us to rip to width wide and thick boards of up to 7.2 metres in length. The saw safely clamps the board into place and effortlessly cuts with a moving circular saw blade, giving an accurate finished edge.
One of two similar machines in our workshop, the MultiRip cuts to width with multiple blades. Normally used with three blades, one fixed and two moveable, the saw give an efficient, accurate and clean finish to our cut to size jobs.
Manufactured in Italy, the saw is robust, accurate and reliable, providing a clean and accurate finish. This is one of our key machines to cut timber to length. It is able to be programmed to cut to specific length or to cut features out of the timber, using a camera which recognises a fluorescent crayon mark.
A smaller 4-sided planer, this effortless touch screen machine can be quickly set to give a final finish on our products. It’s super simple to set and use, while fast in operation. We use this planer for projects that require a quicker turnaround for maximum efficiency.
