Oak Flooring for The Natural History Museum

Oak flooring and staircase for The Natural History Museum

We received a request from Jerram Falkus Construction to supply timber components for oak flooring and a staircase for the recently opened Anning Room in the Natural History museum.

One of our team visited the site with our client to survey the work that was required, and ensure that we would be able achieve what the museum needed. We were successfully awarded the order for oak flooring, having worked for this client before.

The treads and risers were constructed from F Jointed tessellated staves for stability, from specially selected European Character Oak. Each tread was rebated to enable a slip resistant edge capping to be installed.

The oak flooring was installed by Hutchison Flooring of Bognor Regis, one of the leading floor installers in the South of England.
