Downley House Pergola – Oak Beams

Oak Beams for a Pergola at Downley House, South Downs

A local businessman approached us after he had purchased a derelict flint house which sits on the South Downs way.

His design entailed demolishing all but the front facade of the old house, stabilising the facade and building a contemporary house behind it.

We were approached to supply Oak beams to create a Pergola outside the entrance to the house. We sourced character grade Oak beams to profile the external cladding. The project was achieved over a number of months and the finish enabled the house to blend seamlessly into the South Downs.
